Hi and welcome, my name is Paul Miell and if your wondering where the name PaxRon comes in, that's my nickname.
I am based in Cape Town at the very southern tip of Africa but thanks to email and Skype it has become easy to

| 3. What I Think Is A Good Website? |

Designers interpret the meaning of a good website differently depending on their
technology exposure and experience. My first motto is to "keep it simple", the
simpler the site the better it works across all browsers and the faster your
visitors find the information they want. Information architecture and how users
get to the information is key above the design of the site, users are on your
website to find information not for a few seconds of flashy eye candy, all this
does is distract the eye from reading a paragraph and adds to the loading time
of the page. Another rule I follow is keep everything as text where possible to
make it search engine friendly. AJAX should be used where it can to improve the user experience.
Images should be optimised to increase load times of the website, a main page should ideally load under 10 seconds.
